FALL PREVENTION - A CSR PROJECT
A study performed among rural community dwellers in Malaysia found that 27 % of their older villagers fell at least once in the previous year. Malaysia's population is ageing at a faster rate than many may have realised. Any incident, even a simple fall may result in something major, that can result in a drastic decrease in the quality of life of an elderly patient, causing them becoming fully dependent on others, or unable to communicate at all.
Hence, Awardwebs partnered with SGL50, FiCoMo 4 Life (a CSR arm of MyPhysio FiCoMo), Palm Spring Residents Association and MBPJ Zone 3 to organise a Fall Prevention project for the community of Palm Spring @ Kota Damansara. We hope to do more projects that will benefit more communities at large. Awardwebs is currently planning with the committee of PSRA to create other projects which will also include training on social media for the residents.
SK ST. FRANCIS, MELAKA
SK St Franics aim to raise the remaining RM1.2 billion remaining for furnishing, utilities and maintenance through a Charity Dinner & Concert, as many of the Old Boys are popular artistes and entertainers.
Awardwebs was given the opportunity to contribute towards the success of the project by providing the advertising materials needed and a blog to disseminate information to those near and far.
Despite the tight schedule, the team from Awardwebs managed to deliver and we are happy to announce that the Charity Dinner & Concert achieved what it set out to do.
